Miss. Patterson Lia Patterson is the new Director of bands at Windsor Forest High School. Miss Patterson holds a Master of Music degree in Wind Band Conducting from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Armstrong State University.
While at Northern Illinois University, Miss. Patterson studied conducting under Dr. Ronnie Wooten. She was also the graduate assistant for the music education department. Also, while at NIU, Miss Patterson taught the University Ensemble. Prior to graduate school, Miss Patterson was the director at Robert W. Groves High School for for two years. Miss Patterson has played trumpet for 22 years and has taught privately since 2007. She has also performed with various ensembles, including the Savanah Phiharmonic, the Savannah Winds, and various other wind ensembles, various chamber ensembles, and jazz bands. |
